The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of an object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning times and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
Its design is superior to the rest with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel which other robots aren't able to do. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it can be difficult to tell if they are working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the best choice. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock produces some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it's not equipped with some of the features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is also superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. good robot vacuum start and stop cleaning or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or re-label rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place, emptying the bin is simple. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't necessary for everyone, but it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and features are among the best on the market however, it's also expensive.
It's a small base station that looks beautiful and can be hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robot vacuum I've used that has done a good job picking up debris from bare floors. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive robot vacuum and mop that's worth the premium price tag.
However, if you're looking to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other options on the market with a wide range of eufy models priced significantly less. best automatic vacuum cleaner , for instance is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The main feature that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.
The sleek G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundaries that keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it struggles less with bulky material like cereal.
